King of Prussia, PA — 08 September 2005
ZLB Behring and its employees are making a number of donations in response to the devastation created by Hurricane Katrina. We are particularly concerned about the additional hardship this has placed on the patient communities we serve. As part of our ongoing commitment to the patient communities, we are providing additional support during this difficult time.
The company has made direct donations to the National Hemophilia Foundation’s Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, Hemophilia Federation of America’s Hemophilia Disaster Relief Fund, and the Louisiana Hemophilia Association. We hope that these donations will help aid in the recovery efforts of the devastated areas.
ZLB Behring is donating therapies to help patients throughout the impacted area as needs are identified.
Employees across ZLB Behring and ZLB Plasma Services have been contributing generously individually and through group projects from fundraising activities to collecting necessities for the survivors. ZLB Behring will match employee contributions to hurricane relief efforts dollar for dollar through a matching program, with proceeds going to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Fund.
Affected patients or their caregivers who are seeking assistance should contact ZLB Behring’s Patient Assistance line at 800-676-4266 for details on available resources.
