CMS establishes new code and separate therapeutic class “Injection, Immune Globulin, Subcutaneous”
On June 1, 2006, TriCenturion the Product Safeguard Contractor for the Medicare B Durable Medical Equipment Regional Carriers, (DMERC) approved the addition of Subcutaneous Immune Globulin to the External Infusion Pumps LCD. Vivaglobin®, the only FDA approved subcutaneous immune globulin product meets the criteria for coverage under the EIP.
