2008 Jr. National Championship Results
National Winners
We are pleased to announce the following national winners from our 2008 JNC events:

National Regional Baseball Winner:
Dan Conroy - 15 years old
Dan looked very familiar to us and quickly we came to realize that he was our Regional Baseball Winner in Chicago in 2004 when he was 11 years old! Dan and his family drove many hours to compete this year and it paid off, because he is now a two-time Regional Winner in Baseball. He is now 15 years of age, is still playing baseball and has moderate Hemophilia A. He plays baseball on a travel team as their short stop. Congratulations Dan!

National Golf Winner:
Ben Gruher - 9 years old
Ben is 9 years old and resides in St. Camas, Washington. He attends Illahee Elementary School and is an avid golfer. Ben is a past Junior National Champion in golf and wanted to come to this event to go out and play with former JNC champions! He is very focused on his golf game and wasn't there to win, but wanted to be there to have fun. "My caddy, John Self, who works for CSL Behrhing helped me a lot! He was a true caddy in every sense of the word, giving me distance and reading my putts!" Congratulations, Ben on your great accomplishments!

San Diego, CA Winners
We are pleased to announce the following winners from our final 2008 San Diego, CA JNC event:

San Diego, CA Regional Raffle Winner:
Jennifer Lopez -8 years old
Jenifer Lopez is 8 years of age and has vwd. Jennifer is one lucky girl, because not only was she a raffle winner at a Junior National Championship last year, but her name was pulled in the drawing again! Jennifer and two family members won a trip to the NHF annual Meeting in Denver Colorado. Congratulations Jennifer!

San Diego, CA Regional Golf Winner:
Ben Gruher - 9 years old

San Diego, CA Regional Baseball Winner:
Jarrett Guillow - 11 years old
Jarrett was our Regional Baseball Winner at the San Diego JNC. Jarrett is 11 years old and is in 6th grade at the Victoria Elementary School in Riverside, California. "This was the most exciting day of my life! There were so many kids with bleeding disorders competing, that I did not expect I would win!!" Jarrett won the JNC Good Sportsmanship Award in 2006 and still has that plaque on his wall!. Congratulations Jarrett on a job well done!

East Lansing, MI Winners

East Lansing, MI Regional Raffle Winner:
Jaden Letts -7 years old
Our raffle winner, on the other hand, has never been to one of our events. One of the reasons for coming to our JNC event, was Jaden's goal of meeting other boys that will be going to summer camp next year. He was successful in meeting two friends who will share in his camp experience. When asked how he felt when his name was called, he said "I could have just fainted!" His look below demonstrates his shock! Congratulations Jaden, we will see you in Denver!

East Lansing, MI Regional Golf Winner:
Spencer Hinkle - 16 years old
Yes - as you can see, Spencer is actually taller than Jesse and Perry and he's only 16 years old! Spencer has actually participated in several JNC events and he personifies perseverance. He was a regional winner the first year he participated, came in second place the next year, and has once again regained his Regional Title with this, his third JNC event. He is the Junior Club Champion at his local golf course where he shot a 73. His grandfather taught him how to play golf and he wanted to regain his title on his grandfather's birthday, which he did! Congratulations to Spencer!

East Lansing, MI Regional Baseball Winner:
Jordan Swoape - 14 years old
Jordan, like Spencer, is very familiar with our JNC program! This is also Jordan's third year and every year, he has won a regional title. The first year he participated he actually won the National Baseball Title! When asked why he comes back year after year, he responded "This program is in such a fun environment and being around other kids with a bleeding disorder like me brings us all together!" Congratulations, Jordan

Blake Garcia -15 years old
Blake has vWD, is 15 years of age and will be entering 10th grade at Verona Area High School in the fall. Needless to say, Blake and his family were very excited and happy to be going to Denver in the fall. Congratulations, Blake.

Finnian McCormick - 8 years old
Finnian is 8 years old and has severe hemophilia B. He's been playing golf for two years on a Junior Golf League. Congratulations Finnian!

Justin Snead was our raffle winner and is excited to bring his family to Denver especially since this will be the first time he has ever flown in an airplane.

Jayson Keels - 15 years old
Jayson is 15 years of age, has severe hemophilia A and is going into 10th grade at Mauldin High School this fall. Jayson is not only great at golf, but has been playing the piano for 8 years and loves Beethoven. Congratulations, Jayson! We will see you and your family in Denver this fall.

Greenville, South Carolina Regional Baseball Winner:
Michael Gogan - 10 years old
Michael Gogan, who is 10 years old with severe hemophilia B, is our Regional Baseball winner. Michael plays baseball in the Sentinel Health Baseball Team as a short stop. Our JNC was his first time being #1 and he felt great! Congratulations Michael!
